Thor’s Helmet (NGC 2359)

Thor’s Helmet Nebula, also known as NGC 2359, is an emission nebula located about 15,000 light-years away in the constellation Canis Major. Shaped like a Viking helmet, it features a bubble-like structure formed by powerful stellar winds from a massive Wolf-Rayet star at its center. The nebula glows due to ionized gases and is a striking example of stellar evolution in action.
