August 16 - 17 2023 (Sandy Pond, NY)

The Triangulum Galaxy, also known as Messier 33 (M33), is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Triangulum. It is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes our Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy. M33 is notable for its relatively small size and close proximity to the Milky Way, about 3 million light-years away. It features a loose spiral structure with young blue stars in its arms, surrounded by clouds of interstellar gas and dust. The Triangulum Galaxy is a popular target for amateur astronomers due to its brightness and distinctive appearance in the night sky.
